Saturday Day Activies

Badger High School as it appeared that first Thursday after Labor Day 1958, when we entered those orange doors as freshman.

Badger High School as it appears in 2012. The "footprint" of the original building is barely visible. Is anything even recognizable? Is the Senior bench still there? Does the cafeteria look the same? Are they still serving Gravy Train?

10:00 a.m. Saturday Morning, we'll gather at Badger entrance off South Street, same place as it was back in the day.for a guided tour of our old haunts. Park in the spots designated for visitors. This is something you won't want to miss if you haven't been back since 1962!

Enjoy a quick lunch at Popeye's across from the Riv or try one of the newer restaurants in town, then head to the Riviera docks for an excursion boat around the lake to check out the ever-changing shoreline. The preferred 2-hour tour for our class departs from the dock at 1:00 p.m. You can check the schedule for other tours and departures at the Gage Marine website. There is no special pricing for the boat ride, but the memories will be priceless.

Remember graduation night when our class chartered one of the boats for a moonlight cruise on the lake?

We won't be going by moonlight, but in the daytime you can see the changes that have happened over the years.

Many of the old 19th Century mansions have been replaced by newer, modern homes, but none so magnificent as those built by the wealthy following the Chicago fire.

By the time you dock back at the Riv, you'll have just enough time to get ready for our official Reunion gathering at the Geneva Lake Museum.
